INTERNATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FAIR

Internship – Volunteer – Teach – Work ABROAD

This fair, held annually in October, is for students who have thought about or are considering…

  • volunteering, teaching, internships or short-term work abroad
  • an internationally-focused career
  • funding for an international experience

Nearly 50 MSU international units and external international organizations will provide information and resources about internships, volunteer, work and teaching abroad, internationally-focused careers, and funding sources for international experiences. This fair complements the semi-annual study abroad fairs, but will not showcase classroom-based study abroad offerings.

INTERNATIONAL CENTER LIBRARY

The Office of Study Abroad is pleased to announce our collaboration with the International Center Library, a campus resource for international literature and publications. The library serves as a resource for students and faculty alike by housing various collections, by providing classroom and presentation space, and by supporting MSU's five Area Studies Centers. The library seats 150, each seat equipped with electrical outlets and internet connections for laptop computers. Three full-web access computers with e-token printing are available for use.

OSA currently houses its travel publications in the library with plans under way to expand its collection of periodicals and books on international issues, culture, intercultural education and communication, and other topics related to study abroad. We encourage students to use these resources as they research study abroad options and prepare themselves for an international experience. It is also expected that the library will be used as a venue for Study Abroad orientations, presentations, and forums.

If you haven't visited the International Center Library lately, please stop by soon. It is located just off of the first floor lobby of the International Center in Room 115. It is open to the public as follows*:

Sunday 3-9
Monday - Thursday 12-9
Friday 10-3

* Please note, the library is closed to the public during Academic Council and Faculty Council meetings (every 3rd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 2:30-5:30pm, September-May)
